We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team, specializing in the fabrication and finishing of steel moulds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with a variety of welding equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and producing precision work to high standards. This role plays a key part in supporting our manufacturing and production processes through the creation and maintenance of high-quality steel moulds.
- You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing high-quality steel moulds used in manufacturing processes.
- This role involves working with various welding equipment and tools, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring all moulds meet precise specifications.
- You will measure, cut, shape, and weld metal components, perform surface finishing, and carry out maintenance and modifications as required. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of metalwork are essential to ensure the accuracy and durability of each mould produced.

Tasks & responsibilities
- Fabricate, construct and finish to a high standard Steel Mould.
- Be able to work with a range of welding equipment and machines.
- Read and interpret the shop drawings to plan the moulds to be constructed.
- Measuring and marking pieces of metal according to plan.
- Cut, bend and shape steel components to match design instruction.
- Welding, soldering and bolting metal parts together to create a finished mould.
- Filing, sanding and polishing mould surface for better finish.
- Modifying existing moulds as per the plan when required.
- Perform accuracy check using callipers (at range of micrometre).
- Perform routine maintenance of steel moulds and replace any defective parts.
- Inspect manufactured product out from the moulds to verify the accuracy of the mould.
Qualifications & experience
- Must have at least 1 year experience in Steel Mould Fabrication.
- Must have experience in all forms of Boilermaker/welding machines MIG, TIG, oxy acetylene welding cutting for structural steel.
Essential Licences
- Drivers Licence
- Welding certificates and license (highly regarded but not required).
