NEWGEN CONSTRUCTION AUSTRALIA PTY LTD is currently seeking a Carpenter for a full-time contract with a possible extension to permanent role.

Salary:                        $80,500.00 plus Super

Hours:                         38 hours

Mode:                          Full time

Location:                     Bacchus mrsh, VIC 3340

Experience required:      Minimum 1 plus years plus in the nominated role.

Task & responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for below duties as well as working closely with the management team. A challenging role where you will be required to be hands-on, calm under pressure and always leading from the front. Please apply through the advert.

The ideal candidate will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:

•               Examine drawings and specifications to identify necessary materials, sizes, and installation methods.

•               Arrange and pick timbers and materials, and create layouts accordingly.

•               Trim materials to required dimensions, assemble, and securely fasten them using suitable techniques.

•               Construct frameworks and roof framing, lay sub-flooring and floorboards, and verify the precision of structures.

•               Affix fascia panels, cover roofs, and install exterior wall cladding, door, and window frames.

•               Put together prepared wood to create structures and fittings ready for setup.

•               Carve wood joints to ensure the stability of structures.

•               Build concrete formwork when required.

•               Rectify existing fittings as necessary.

•               Utilize alternative materials like plastic laminates, perspex, and metals for specialized projects.

•               Build, set up, install, refurbish, and mend structures and fixtures utilizing wood, plywood, wallboard, and diverse materials.

Qualification & experience

Qualification 

·                 Relevant qualification (Cert 3 in Carpentry) and work experience required and preferred.
