Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable CNC Milling Machine and Lathe Operator and Programmer to join our team in Kilsyth. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machining principles, the ability to operate and program CNC milling and lathe machines, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming machines to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications. You must be experienced in machining all forms of steels and programming with Amilam software.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Milling and Lathe machines.
• Program CNC machines using software.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Monitor machining processes to ensure parts are produced to required tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machine operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a CNC Milling Machine and Lathe Operator and Programmer.
• Solid understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
• Proficiency in using software for programming CNC machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
