Corporate Air / Link Airways is one of the longest established aviation service providers based in eastern Australia. Corporate Air provides extensive air charter services Australia wide, and Link Airways our regional airline, operate Scheduled services from Brisbane and Canberra to destinations in New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania.
We are currently seeking to recruit a number of positions, namely a Maintenance Watch Engineer and a CAMO Officer. Both sit within our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) department.
Either position can be based at our Canberra, Brisbane or Goulburn offices.
The successful applicants will be working within the CAMO Department, which provides services to the Maintenance Planning and Operations Groups supporting the Company’s range of flying operations. With the vision to work towards optimum On Time Performance across the Network and aircraft fleet.
Job Specifications:
Monitoring the line maintenance technical status of the aircraft in the Fleet.
Liaising with Flight Operations Department on requirements affected by the application of an MEL/CDL.
Communicating actions required by all parties to carry out rectifications or actions whenever a defect is reported in flight.
As requested by CAMO, coordinating aircraft recovery from a defect at a location where no AMO support is contracted or available.
Assisting and follow up of completion from Line Maintenance, ensuring a release to service has been received following maintenance.
Assuming the task of performing the necessary preparation work for the application of PUS after hours, as requested by the CAM.
Monitoring the rectification of defects on delayed or potentially delayed flights and ensuring that estimated return to service times are realistic.
Keeping Airworthiness management and Flight Operations informed on AOG and delays as a result of mechanical disruptions.
Liaising between CAMO Planning, the respective AMO and Material and Logistics to schedule or reschedule defect rectification or disruption to the planned maintenance outside their respective hours of business.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
Be a LAME preferably with licenses on SF340 or SA227 aircraft types (preferable for Maintenance Watch).
A comprehensive knowledge of PART 42 airworthiness requirements.
A thorough understanding of the principles of aircraft technical & defect Management.
High level of computer literacy and an ideally a understanding of the WinAir Maintenance program (or similar).
Highly self-motivated with demonstrated initiative and good organizational skills.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
The ability to work in a high performing team environment.
Prior experience in a similar role would be well regarded
Be willing to work a shift roster covering 7 days per week.
