Hi everyone,

Looking for a solid Barista to join our crew on Monday & Friday (more days negotiable).

This is a 15h - 20h position, set roster days.

We are looking for a barista with a minimum of 1 year continuous experience in a fast paced / high volume cafe environment. Ideally someone that has worked in a cafe going through 50/60kg of coffee per week over 5 days.

Additional duties:

Taking orders, heating sandwiches, serving sweets & pastries, running coffees & food, supporting the team (ie bin run / restocking etc…) and of course customer service.

Remuneration level:

This is a casual position and remuneration starts at level 2 (Restaurant award) and goes above award depending on skill level and length of employment within the company.

About us:

We are a small speciality coffee shop near the Roma & George street intersection. We have been running for almost two years and have gradually cemented our position as the go to specialty coffee shop in the legal precinct. The shop operates between 6:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. We normally close on public holidays. We are all about coffee with a limited food offer & some house made sweets & baked goods. We rotate between multiple single origin coffees that are served as nitro, cold brew, espresso, batch brew and pour overs.

You should expect a highly professional environment and extremely high standards of operation and cleanliness. We are very fortunate to have a great team of individuals that love what they do and really care for the shop. We are busy and have a strong base or regular customers.

Your attributes:

You can strike a conversation with anyone. You’re known for having a bubbly character and above all, you’re a people person that is happy to go above and beyond to make sure your customers walk away satisfied. Also, you like keeping things clean and organised.

You don’t need to be the best latte artist out there or a barista champion, however, you need take pride in making consistently delicious coffee for your customers. In other words, not too fussed about your art but your milk texturing needs to be spot on and you need to care about the taste of every single cup of coffee your produce.
