Position Title: Architectural Draftsperson

Job Location: Zhinar Architects

Position Summary:

Responsible for producing detailed architectural drawings and plans to assist architects and designers in the development of building projects. The role includes translating conceptual ideas into technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, adherence to industry standards, and compliance with building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed drawings of architectural designs and plans using computer-aided design Revit (BIM) software or traditional drafting methods.

• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to develop and refine design concepts.

• Create, revise, and update architectural drawings such as site plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.

• Ensure all drawings and plans comply with building codes, safety regulations, zoning laws, and other relevant guidelines, specifically NSW Apartment Design Guidelines (ADG), and Development Control Planning (DCP).

• Maintain and organize technical documents, including specifications, permits, and contracts.

• Assist in determining the materials and finishes for construction projects based on design specifications.

• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and functionality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Architecture (Australia)

• Min. 1  year of experience working for Development Application for multi-residential units

• Knowledge for Development Application and Australian Standards

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Revit (BIM), Rhino (3D Modelling), AutoCAD 

  • Adobe suites (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, construction standards, Development Control Planning, and NSW Apartment Design Guide.

  • Strong understanding of architectural terminology, design, and drafting practices.

• Excellent ability to focus on details and ensure precision in drawings.

• Ability to communicate effectively with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Ability to identify and address design issues and discrepancies in drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year working for DA projects for Multi-residential units.

• Experience with Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suites.

• Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (preferred)

Work Conditions:

• Full-time (work from office), with the possibility of overtime during peak project times.

Salary Range: AUD 75,000-85,000
