We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Retreat Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the retreat and uphold our commitment to excellence in guest service and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Retreat Manager in overseeing the daily operations across all departments including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance.
  • Ensure a seamless and personalised guest experience from arrival to departure.
  • Assist in staff supervision, training, rostering, and performance management.
  • Handle guest inquiries, bookings, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate and manage special requests, events, or packages for guests.
  • Monitor property presentation and cleanliness, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors as required.
  • Assist with stock control, inventory, and procurement.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly practices.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks including reporting, scheduling, and correspondence.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar hospitality management or assistant management role, preferably within a boutique or luxury retreat/resort setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A hands-on, guest-focused approach with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Proficient in property management systems (PMS), booking platforms, and general computer use.
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
