So, what’s the role?

Our Technology team is seeking an Automation and Integration Engineer responsible for the seamless assessment, development, process orchestration and interaction of disparate systems, software and technologies within Bank First. This role will be responsible for developing and overseeing the bank’s online lending platform and associated cloud-based services.

In a typical day, you’ll get to:

  • Develop and Enhance Integrations: Identify areas for improvement and build new solutions that drive automation and efficiency.
  • Design Scalable Solutions: Work within architecture guardrails to create microservices and APIs that streamline banking processes.
  • Drive Innovation: Seek out opportunities to automate business processes, leveraging technologies like BPMN, Power Automation, and Azure Logic Apps.
  • Lead System Orchestration: Ensure various banking platforms interact seamlessly through APIs, web services, and cloud-based integrations.
  • Collaborate and Influence: Partner with teams across the business to translate requirements into practical and effective technical solutions.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance Bank First’s integration practices.

About you

You’re passionate about technology and automation, with a mindset focused on problem-solving, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can challenge ideas, drive change, and create seamless digital experiences.

Your toolkit includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficient in programming languages including C#, Python, PowerShell and JavaScript.
  • Experienced with frameworks like .NET, ASP.NET and Node.js for building new applications and extending existing applications.
  • Familiar with web technologies including HTML, CSS, and API integration.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), for deploying, managing, and scaling applications and services.
  • Experience with SQL and Database Management Systems such as Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with automation, integration, and app development platforms such as Power Automation, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps, UiPath, MuleSoft, and Dell Boomi. Cloud knowledge – Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and cloud-based services.
  • Integration skills: Understanding of microservices, BPMN, automation tools, and business process orchestration.
  • Security & Compliance: Awareness of cryptographic protocols, encryption, and security best practices.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Ability to translate technical solutions into business-friendly language, influencing key stakeholders.
  • Banking & Lending Experience (Nice to Have): Familiarity with banking systems, lending automation, and financial industry processes is an advantage.
