The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic AV Hire Customer Service/Sales Rep to join our team as the first point of contact for our clients. This role is ideal for both entry-level candidates eager to learn or more experienced in the field of events ready to take on a new role. You’ll handle phone inquiries, prepare sales quotes, and manage equipment hire orders including basic checking of equipment matching hire orders for customer pickups/returns ensuring clients receive top-tier service. For those with experience, there’s opportunity to drive larger sales, manage key accounts, and contribute to complex event solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales quotes for audio-visual equipment hire, from simple speaker packages to comprehensive event setups.
  • Process the customer service side of equipment hire orders, including serving customers when they collect/return equipment.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell equipment or services, tailoring solutions to client needs.
  • Update and manage client records in our CRM system for seamless order tracking.
  • For Experienced Candidates: Manage key client accounts, develop tailored AV solutions for large-scale events, and negotiate contracts to maximize sales opportunities.

About You

  • Strong communication skills with a friendly, client-focused approach.
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment, handling phone calls, emails, and order coordination.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office, email) and the rest can be trained
  • Eager to learn and adaptable, with a willingness to be trained in AV equipment and sales techniques (for entry-level candidates).
  • Passion for the events industry or audio-visual technology would be great.
  • For Experienced Candidates: Proven sales experience, ideally in AV, events, or a related industry, with a track record of meeting targets and managing client relationships. Knowledge of AV equipment (e.g., speakers, lighting, projectors) is highly desirable.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Passion for the events industry or audio-visual technology is a bonus!
