Rock Ridge Farming is seeking key banana and avocado farm workers to join our business to help with the day to running of our farms. Rock Ridge Farming head office is based in Atherton on the Atherton Tablelands in
Far North Queensland but work will be across any of our 5 banana or 5 avocado farms or packshed at the following locations depending on demand. Bananas:
- Malone Rd, Mareeba
- Kennedy Highway, Mareeba
- Vicary Rd, Mareeba
- Jennings Rd, Mareeba
- Hall Rd, Tolga
Avocados:
- Willows Rd, Tolga
- Leafgold Weir Rd, Dimbulah
- Godfrey Rd, Kairi
- Gillies Range Rd, Yungaburra
- Albrecht St, Tolga
These positions will be a permanent full-time with an annual salary of between $68,864 to $76,515, with the rate to be negotiated based on experience. Banana Farm jobs can include but not be limited to;
- De-suckering
- Bell injecting
- Bagging
- Humping
- Irrigation works
- De-handing
- Grading / clustering
- Packing
- Loading
- Quality Assurance
- Packshed production
- Leading a team
- Chemical mixing and spraying
- General farm maintenance
- Packshed dispatch paperwork
- Farm administration paperwork
- Cleaning of farm premises
Avocado farm jobs can include but not be limited to:
- Picking
- Tractor driving
- Pruning
- Injecting
- Sorting
- Stacking
- Quality Assurance
- Leading a team
- Packshed production
- Chemical mixing and spraying
- General farm maintenance
- Packshed dispatch paperwork
- Farm administration paperwork
- Cleaning of farm premises
The right candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Have completed at least a Certificate II in Horticulture or have12 months full-time farm experience
- Be physically capable
- A high work-ethic
- A willingness to learn new skills and develop themselves.
