We have an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with a minimum of 2 years PAE to join our expanding and busy Property practice.
We are looking for a team-oriented, motivated and well-rounded Banking & Finance Lawyer with some experience in various property matters/transactions (such as property development, commercial leasing and conveyancing) and in corporate, commercial and project finance transactions.
Responsibilitiesproviding the following (but not limited to) banking and finance-related legal services: negotiating and drafting loan and security documentationadvising on finance arrangements and documents for property- related transactionsengaging with investors, developers, joint venture parties, borrowers and lendersadvising on stamp duty, GST, CGT and other revenue aspects of property/finance transactionsconducting property and finance-related due diligence providing property/finance structuring advice to clients advising in relation to sales and acquisitions of commercial, residential and industrial properties, property development (including land subdivision), commercial (including retail) leasing transactions.making recommendations to clients in relation to and analysing issues concerning land subdivision, titling, planning and environmental matters.participate in knowledge-sharing activities, such as learning and development, marketing and team meetings.
QualificationsProven PAE (up to Senior Associate level) experience gained within a corporate/commercial law firm environment.The ability to understand complex property related contractual transactions and structures.Commerciality and in depth understanding of the property market.Both private practice and in-house experience equally considered.Tertiary qualifications in law; complementary qualifications in business/commerce/tax related disciplines are an advantage.Holder of a current Australian Practising Certificate.
