Barber

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing advice on hair care, beauty products and hairstyles
• Shampooing hair and conditioning scalps
• Colouring, straightening and permanently waving hair with chemical solutions
• Cutting hair with scissors, clippers and razors

• Provide barbering services such as haircuts, beard trims, massage and grooming treatments to clients.
• Consult with clients to understand their grooming preferences and recommend suitable styles.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards of barbering tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Manage appointment bookings, walk-in clients, and waitlist effectively.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through excellent communication and service.
• Stay updated on current grooming trends, techniques, and products.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Uphold the reputation and brand image of Ratbags Barbershop through professionalism and exceptional service delivery.
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability in previous roles, with a track record of consistent attendance being on time and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Valid barbering license in Australia (Cert 3 in Barbering)
• Proven experience working as a barber in a salon or barber shop setting.
• Strong proficiency in Classic barbering techniques and styles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality grooming standards.
• Flexibility to work weekends.
