Holding a Beautician certificate is desired but candidates must be proficient in offering Threading, Tinting, Henna, Eyelash Perming & Eyelash Extension services and other modern beauty services. Relevant management or training experience will be considered.

POSITION DESCRIPTION The Employee’s duties as a Salon Manager shall include, but not be limited to the following: Services –
Best standards. Continual Staff Training in this respect is also necessary. Beauty Therapist should also ensure that he/she is formally trained in the latest trends and standards of the Services we provide from time to time. Regular feedback collection from the customers is also necessary to ensure that a high standard is delivered at all times.
Complete and accurate knowledge of these products must be maintained to ensure that this product is promoted correctly. Beauty Therapist must also ensure that staff are trained in this respect. Salon Targets –
Continual staff training in this aspect is required. Measures must be taken to meet the set targets on a daily basis. Feedback on the seasonal trends are required so that the targets can be adjusted accordingly. Running specific promotions and specials are part of this responsibility. Staff must be motivated and appraised to ensure this on a regular basis.
Maintaining a strong Client base is one of the key aspects of this role. The respective Salon Manager will ensure that all the customers of the Business are served respectfully and a high standard of Customer Service is maintained at all times. Staff must be monitored by Beauty Therapist to ensure this Standard.
Continual Staff Training in this respect is also necessary. Beauty Therapist must also coach/discipline staff if necessary. Regular feedback collection from the customers is also necessary to ensure that a high standard is delivered at all times.
The Salon maintains various stock for the purpose of retail as well as for services consumption. Beauty Therapist will be responsible in maintaining optimal levels of such stock at all times. Accurate record keeping must be maintained.
Stock Ordering must take place on a regular basis as per the guidelines laid out by the company. Accurate record keeping of all consumables must be maintained to ensure maximum profitability.
Stock must be managed in a way to ensure minimum wastage and maximum turnover. Beauty Therapist must adhere to strict Consumables Budget set out by the company.
Beauty Therapist is responsible for the regular management of all staff employed in the Business including Rostering, Leave Management, Time Management and filing in shifts for short notice leaves. Rostering must be adhered to using strict Labor budgets as set out by the company. Beauty Therapist is also responsible for regular recruitment of staff to meet the company needs.
For recruitment purpose Beauty Therapist must advertise, interview and recruit as trained/instructed by the Company. Performance Management of the Staff on a regular basis is also an important aspect of this role. Beauty Therapist will be trained/coached in this aspect.
Beauty Therapist is responsible to ensure accurate management of Cash and EFT on a daily basis. Daily Cash reconciliation, Banking and weekly reporting are necessary aspects of this role. Beauty Therapist must be very accurate in maintaining this. Making payments for goods delivered and maintaining such records is necessary. All purchases must be accurately recorded and reported on a regular basis.
Beauty Therapist must adhere to and carry out the regular Promotions as set out by the company. Responsibilities also include liaising with the Shopping Centre Promotional Team to promote regular Specials & Promotions within the Shopping Centre. Beauty Therapist must also investigate and use all local avenues to promote the Business.
Beauty Therapist is responsible to ensure correct Safety measures are practiced on a daily basis to ensure the welfare of Staff & Customers. Products used within the salon and their equipment must be maintained as per the set company guidelines and their particular Safety Guidelines to ensure the Health & Safety within the Salon. Beauty Therapist must partake regular training of the staff to ensure this requirement is met without fail.
The salon also uses Disclaimer forms to ensure the safety of its customers and to make them aware of the possible dangers associated with that particular services. Beauty Therapist will ensure that compliance on this matter takes place on a daily basis. Beauty Therapist is also responsible to ensure that the workplace remains at the highest Safety standards and to address any such issues immediately and ensure safety at all times.
The Salon uses various equipment within the salon, including Computers, Displays, Lights and other Service equipment which needs to be maintained on a regular basis. Any issues with such equipment must be addressed immediately to ensure the smooth operation of the Business. Beauty Therapist must follow Company guidelines on the Maintenance of all equipment and address all maintenance immediately. Salary $70,000 – $75,000 per year
