About BaptistCare Shalom Centre

Shalom Centre offers quality care in a shared accommodation setting that is accessible to everyone. All rooms are fitted with en-suite bathrooms and feature large windows that bring in plenty of natural light and overlook tranquil gardens, also featuring a large chapel, on-site cafe and palatial entertaining area

About the role

As a Carer, you'll get to know your residents by supporting their choices, preferences and needs during your shifts. Varied shifts available, including a newly created shift that spans the middle part of the day. Gain your morning back for the important life admin tasks and still be home to have the evening meal with your family!

Duties may include:

• Assistance with a wide range of Person-Centered care in accordance with care plans
• Assistance with medication
• Simple wound dressing
• Assistance with activities under supervision
• Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love

Skills & experience

• Previous experience as a Care Service Employee (desirable)
• Transferrable skills in providing care and compassion to others
• Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing or be working towards
