SHINE SINGH PTY LTD is seeking experienced and passionate Chefs/Cooks to join our team at The Highlands Classic Cafe, a newly established high-end eatery in the picturesque Southern Highlands of New South Wales. Task & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of a unique and high-quality menu that aligns with our brand and clientele expectations.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor and manage kitchen stock levels, ensuring timely ordering and minimal waste.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-functioning kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the team to create new dishes and refine existing menu items.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a high-end café or restaurant setting.
- A Certificate III/IV relevant to cookery or higher is essential, depending on the position being applied for.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Creativity and passion for food innovation.
