Cloud & Network Architect - MS Azure

Our client, a major global industrial and manufacturing business, is investing heavily in modernising its technology landscape and is seeking an experienced Cloud & Network Architect to join its high-performing technology team in Melbourne.

This is a key permanent role with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure, enterprise networking, and Windows Server environments. You’ll work across major projects and governance initiatives while also maintaining operational oversight of critical infrastructure.

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, optimising for performance, cost, and security
• Architect and manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall solutions to support enterprise needs
• Configure and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Lead major cloud and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment to governance standards and business objectives
• Monitor and maintain the health, security, and performance of cloud and network environments
• Develop and enforce governance frameworks, technical standards, and documentation
• Mentor and support junior team members as the technical SME across cloud and networking

• Extensive experience in Azure cloud architecture and Windows Server management
• Deep knowledge of enterprise networking principles and technologies (LAN/WAN/VPN/firewall)
• Solid understanding of cloud governance, security, and best practices
• Azure certification highly regarded (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator)
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate across strategy and delivery
