Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum 1st Class machinist or equivalent experience to undertake the responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Mastercam or similar Cam software is desirable.
  • Proficiency in operating Fanuc, Okuma or Heidenhain is desirable.
  • Possess a current driver’s license
  • Experience in cutting API Threads would be an advantage.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Setting up and running a variety of CNC lathes and mills.
  • Testing and modification of new programs. Designing and manufacture of fixtures.
  • Interface with Workshop Coordinator on process and procedure for jobs.
  • Proofing CNC programs off the controller and using Mastercam
