About the Role

Due to continued growth we are currently seeking an experienced Fitter/Machinist CNC Machine Operator to be based at our Rutherford Workshop.

Our Fitter Machinist CNC Operators play a critical role in our business and are responsible for the safe, detailed and accurate refurbishment of heavy earth moving, mining and marine equipment for our valued clients. 

Key Duties

• Demonstrated safety first work ethic and professional attitude
• Ability to read plans and produce detailed quality work to required sizes and finishes
• Ability to adapt to changing work requirements
• Proven interpersonal skills to liaise with clients in a professional and courteous manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Willing to both contribute and learn from others; and
• The ability to build clear and open communication with management, supervisors, leading hands and team members.

The key team members we are looking for needs:

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Programming ability and skills
• Appropriate trade qualifications (Statement of Attainment MEM30205 – Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent)
• Proven ability to provide quality customer service outcomes
• Proven problem solving ability with strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements; and
• A strong commitment to safe work practices
• Live in close proximity of the Rutherford and Hunter Valley area.
