Home Care Department in the Wollongong region, and we're looking for compassionate, dedicated Community Support Workers to join our team.
We support clients with a wide range of needs, and we highly value individuals with experience in:
- Complex Care
- Complex Behaviours
- Personal Care and Daily Living Support
However, we welcome support workers from diverse backgrounds and skillsets, as long as you bring a caring attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
Your Role
As a Community Support Worker, you’ll provide in-home and community-based support that enables people to live independently and with dignity. Your work will include:
- Supporting people with disability or age-related care needs
- Assisting with personal care, mobility, and medication prompts
- Managing behaviours of concern (where applicable)
- Promoting community access, social connection, and personal goals
- Maintaining clear documentation and following client care plans
What We’re Looking For
- A calm, confident, and caring approach
- Experience in complex care and/or behaviours is highly regarded
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Availability to work across a range of shifts (including weekends)
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Certificate III in Individual Support or similar (or working towards it) - highly regarded but not essential
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- COVID-19 Vaccination (as per health regulations)
