About the Role:
Knauf is seeking a hands-on and experienced Construction Estimator NSW to join our Contracting Team, working on-site and in the field. Reporting to the Construction Team Leader QLD / NSW, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate estimates and quotations for construction projects while collaborating directly with builders, contractors, and site teams.

This role is based at one of our state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Camellia, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site assessments and quantity take-offs to prepare accurate estimates and quotations
• Review and respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and ensure estimates align with project specifications
• Collaborate with builders, contractors, and site teams to clarify project requirements and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor and control project margins, ensuring take-offs accurately reflect customer orders and site conditions
• Provide technical advice and support to customers and site teams regarding Knauf’s products and solutions
• Maintain up-to-date records of quotations, project progress, and delivery schedules for allocated projects
• Address customer inquiries promptly and redirect them to appropriate personnel when necessary
• Update IT systems with project and quotation details to ensure accurate reporting and tracking
• Liaise with take-off providers and support the Manager of Contracting Support Services with other duties as required

About You:
To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in construction estimating, with the ability to read and interpret building plans
• Hands-on experience working on construction sites or in a similar field-based role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with site teams and contractors
• A team-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for a fast-paced, construction-focused environment
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle competing deadlines effectively
• A detail-oriented and process-driven approach, with strong numeracy skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and familiarity with construction software (preferred)
• A proactive, results-driven attitude and a passion for the construction industry
