Fuego By the Sea is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with our restaurant's standards and customer expectations.

Task & Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and cook menu items per the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
  • Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure high quality and consistency.
  • Assist in the planning of menus, including seasonal and special dishes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and stored according to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff and kitchen hands.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.


 


Qualification & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance with WHS regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Formal qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and a passion for delivering consistent quality.
