Culcairn Bakery, a well-established and much-loved bakery located in the heart of Culcairn, is currently seeking a qualified and reliable Cook to join our hardworking team. This is a full-time position that also involves supporting some key tasks of our bakery operations and to be instrumental in fully implementing the new food menu the business has recently introduced .

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a dedicated Cook with strong kitchen experience who is also willing to take on select baking tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a flexible, can-do attitude who enjoys a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced and friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a range of savoury items (pies, pastries, sandwiches, etc.)
2. Assist in the preparation of doughs, fillings, and baking as required
3. Maintain kitchen and food preparation areas to a high standard of cleanliness
4. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
5. Collaborate with the baking team during peak times
6. Manage stock rotation and assist with ordering supplies
7. Prepare and cook dishes from the menu, following Culcairn Bakery’s established recipes and methods.
8. Assist in ensuring all food meets quality standards in terms of taste and presentation.
9. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
10. Check and replenish ingredients and supply as necessary.
11. Ensure food preparation areas are clean and comply with health and safety regulations.

What You’ll Bring:

1. Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent qualification
2. Prior experience working in a bakery, café, or food production environment (preferred)
3. Willingness to perform some basic baking tasks under guidance
4. Strong work ethic, reliability, and time management skills
5. Passion for food quality and customer satisfaction
