About the Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a local resident to join our Records and Customer Service team in Onslow.

The Shire is seeking a passionate and dedicated Customer Service Officer to join our Records and Customer Service team. Reporting to the Coordinator Records and Customer Service, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our communities and organisation.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers in the Onslow administration office reception. Your primary tasks will include:

  • directing incoming phone calls
  • responding to Reception emails and enquiries
  • animal registrations
  • receipting and daily reconciliations
  • flag marshal duties
  • ordering of supplies, and
  • assisting the team with records management

Additionally, this role will require you to maintain up to date knowledge of Shire services, activities, and events, and you may also undertake occasional Library duties.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a customer service or administration-based role and will pride themselves on their exceptional customer service and ability to problem solve.

The successful applicant must be able to obtain a current Working with Children Card and a current National Police Clearance (dated within 6 months of commencement).

This position offers a competitive remuneration package and six weeks’ annual leave. All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2022.
