About The Role
As a Data Migration Specialist, you will be part of our EPMO team initially assisting on a project, before transitioning permanently into the Information Technology team, both sit within our Shared Services function.
We are open to this candidate being based out of Sydney or Brisbane, highly flexible (hybrid) working arrangements, via a mix of on-site and remote working will be available.
Key Accountabilities
Support with end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale data migration projects.Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to understand data migration requirements and objectives.Design and implement robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from source to target systems.Assess and optimise data quality during migration, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure compatibility with existing and new systems.Implement data validation and reconciliation processes to guarantee the integrity of migrated data.Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues promptly and efficiently.Develop documentation and provide training to internal teams on new data structures and processes.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline required.Fundamental knowledge of the ITIL framework and or/other IT Service Management methodologies. 3+ years experience in a data engineering or migration role with a focus on internal business systems.Experience in large-scale data migration projects across finance, practice management/ERP, payroll and human resources systems.Expertise in data modelling, ETL development, and database management systems.Strong understanding of CRM, Practice Management Systems and Finance systems architecture, data models and integration mechanisms.Strong analytical, problems-solving and time management skills, with ability to plan and meet deadlines.Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated experience maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to achieve the organisation’s objectives.
