Data (Power BI) & Reporting Analyst

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team in Brisbane. This role plays a critical part in transforming data into actionable insights, working closely with Business Support teams, IT, Marketing team and Program Leads to drive data-informed decision making.

• Location: Brisbane CBD
• Employment Type: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
• Work Arrangement: Minimum 3 days in-office, with Wednesdays as a full-team office day

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Data Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with data from various sources, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse, data lake, cloud platforms, digital analytics, and marketing systems. You’ll use tools like Power BI to build custom dashboards and reports that support business strategies.
  
In collaboration with the Marketing team, you will develop data briefs and deliver data extracts to support targeted campaigns. You’ll also create segmentation models, insightful data visualizations, and apply techniques such as propensity modelling and storytelling to enhance campaign performance and overall business understanding.
  
Your responsibilities will also include:

• Delivering ad hoc reporting and analytical insights
• Developing and maintaining data models and reporting outputs
• Ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and ongoing improvement of business intelligence solutions

About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, along with:

• Relevant 2–3 years of hands-on experience in analytics and insights
• Proficiency in Power BI and DAX
• Strong skills in SQL coding and optimisation
• Experience with data modelling and BI tools
• Experience with the modern Azure BI stack, Databricks and interest in machine learning/predictive analytics, and API integration
• Exposure to digital analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) is a plus
