Dental Assistant

Alice Springs Family Dental is looking for a to join
our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist in all aspects of patient care, maintain a
clean and organised workspace, and ensure a comfortable experience for patients.
While experience is preferred a traineeship or secondary school student may be considered
for the right person. The successful candidate will be well groomed, passionate, organised,
a clear communicator, with and outgoing proactive attitude. Some dental knowledge is
preferred, but not essential.
The successful candidate for this role will need to be flexible, with a strong work ethic and
enjoy working within a team environment.

• Assist the dentist during procedures, including handing instruments and suctioning.
• Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment. Providing chairside support to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow
• Processing and sterilising dental instruments and equipment
• Promoting positive patient experiences and maintaining high standards of customer service
• Complete Smile Makeovers including non-surgical cosmetic procedures

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide a high level of patient care
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using dental software and technology, experience with Trios/Itero scanners, lasers, Airflow, photos and digital platforms highly regarded. We are willing to train the right DA in these areas
• A genuine interest in oral healthcare and a commitment to continuous learning

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
