Diesel /Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

About the role

Grounds Maintenance Australia is seeking a full-time Diesel /Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Bacchus Marsh, VIC. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy vehicles, trucks and machinery, ensuring they are kept in top working condition to support our operations.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on diesel and heavy vehicles

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues

• Conduct pre-start checks, inspections, and testing to identify problems

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

• Liaise with suppliers and external service providers as required

• Ensure a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in diesel/heavy vehicle mechanics or a related field

• Extensive experience (3+ years) working as a diesel/heavy vehicle mechanic

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic equipment and repair procedures

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Commitment to safety and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
