About the opportunity
There is currently one (1) permanent – full time position available for immediate filling.
We are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join DPIRD as the Director of Agriculture Resource Management and Assessment. This senior leadership position plays a key role in supporting the administration of the Soil and Land Conversation Act 1945, and shaping policies and strategies that drive the sustainable growth of WA’s agriculture and food sectors.
Reporting to the Soil and Land Conservation Commissioner, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of world-class scientific, monitoring and assessment programs that inform land use decisions and address land degradation risks across the state. You will provide high-level advice to government and senior executives on environmental and agricultural resource management, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and community needs. The position also oversees branch operations, including staff leadership, resource planning, and budget management.
