Disability Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at Eclipse care and support in Adelaide, SA. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalised care and support to our clients with a range of disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their goals. This is a casual position, offering flexibility to fit around your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

• Facilitating social and recreational activities to enhance the wellbeing and independence of clients

• Providing emotional support and advocacy to empower clients and promote their rights

• Collaborating with the client's support network to ensure a holistic approach to care

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies

• Actively participating in team meetings and training to continuously improve the quality of care

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar Disability Support Worker or care-giving role

• A demonstrated understanding of the aged and disability support industry and the unique needs of clients

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients

• A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others

• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)

• A current First Aid certificate and a National Police Check

• NDIS Worker Check

• NDIS Screening Check

• Working with Children Check

• Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability
