About the Role
We are seeking a mature, experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide dedicated support to a client with Schizoaffective Disorder – Bipolar Type (Rapid Cycling). 

The client presents with manic and depressive episodes, leading to complex behaviours. Despite these challenges, the client enjoys personal grooming, shopping, music, and TV. She values her independence and dislikes being told what to do in her own home.

Location: Frankston

Shifts: Permanent Part Time Role (55 hours/FN):
(Set Permanent Part Time roster, MUST be available for all the shifts below):

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday & Friday 10:00pm to 7:00am (active shifts)

Week 2:

• Monday & Thursday - 5:00pm to 10:0pm
• Tuesday - 10:00pm to 7:00am
• Saturday - 12:00pm to 4:00pm
• Sunday - 12:00pm to 5:00pm

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-judgmental support while promoting safety and well-being
• Assist with daily living tasks, self-care, and mental health stability Use strong communication skills to de-escalate situations and build rapport
• Maintain firm but respectful boundaries while respecting her autonomy
• Support her in making safe choices and encourage positive routines
• Work within a team and follow care plans tailored to her needs

Requirements

• Mental health background (preferred)
• NDIS Workers Screening Check 
• Working with Children Check 
• First Aid and CPR certificate 
• Certificate III or IV in individual support, disability or equivalent 
• Australian driver's license and your own fully insured vehicle 

Pay Rates
SCHADS Award PPT schedule E 3.1 SIL

• Day Shift (Base Pay Rate): $33.03
• Afternoon Shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $37.16
• Active Night Shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday): $37.98.
• Saturday: $49.55
• Sunday: $66.06
• Public holiday: $82.58
