Dispatcher / Crane Allocator

Universal Cranes is a privately owned family business that operates mobile crane hire branches throughout Queensland and New South Wales. We have a fleet of 200 cranes ranging from 3T to 1200T, including minicranes, Frannas, all-terrains and crawler cranes. Universal Cranes began as a family crane hire business in 1993 and have grown to become a national crane hire company. We pride ourselves on maintaining a family business service culture while providing our clients with a national high-capacity fleet.

We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher / Crane Allocator to support our Universal Cranes operations based in the Gold Coast.

About the Role

It is a key position that involves working closely with clients, other Dispatchers and broader operational team members to take client orders and plan, schedule, organise and monitor the delivery of crane and transport services.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that company resources are utilised in an efficient and effective manner.

• Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships clients, contractors as well as internal: Crane crew, Crane Supervisors etc.

• Providing Operational staff with necessary information on the task and scope of services to be delivered.

• Inputting data into Resource Management software (Visual Dispatch) for scheduling the delivery of companies core services.

• Numerical accuracy and ability to adapt and learn new software;

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• Professionalism in on site presentation and communication with clients

• Maturity and ability to deal with multi-site, multi-cultural teams

• Experience in a mobile crane hire business (preferred)

• Experience in dispatching of cranes, transport or field services (preferred)
