Roman Drilling is looking for Driller's Offsider to help our experienced Driller with constructing water bores in Townsville and surrounding areas.
Key Requirements
- Manual C Class Drivers Licence, no restrictions
- Extensive manual laboring experience and be physically fit to cope with the demands of the position
- Hard-working and reliable team player
- No experience is needed but must be willing to learn
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Some mechanical knowledge is beneficial
- Pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen
- Satisfactory Police clearance
- Must be Townsville based, this is not FIFO position
Tasks & responsibilities
- Transport the drill rig and equipment, setting up, rigging down, moving, making the hole, placing and sealing casing, and grouting bores.
- Be able to organise, maintain, and manage equipment for each drill site.
- Load, drive, and unload heavy vehicles.
- Work as part of a small team.
- Add and remove drill rods and other downhole tools.
- Assist with routine maintenance.
- Other duties as required.
