Koorana has a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our Croydon St Preschool at Lakemba on a full time basis working five days per week from 8.00am-4.00pm, on a maternity leave contract until Friday, 29 May 2026.

About the Role
The Early Childhood Educator contributes to the operation of our preschool program. They will work collaboratively with the wider preschool team to:
• Deliver a quality early childhood education program which reflects the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Implement specific intervention strategies, as determined by the Educational Leader and transdisciplinary team.
• Engage in reflective practice and assessment to enrich children’s learning.
• Assist the teams to prepare resources to support children’s learning outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication to support the successful delivery of service to children and families.
• Adhere to Koorana’s Preschool Policies and Procedures and Code of Conduct.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved).
• A sound understanding of:
- National Quality Framework for Early Education, inclusive of the National Law and Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard;
- Child Safe Organisation and Child Well Being Legislation; and
- Workplace Health and Safety Legislation.
• Be able to be proactive and flexible, responding to guidance and work according to organisational standards and expectations.
• Ability to effectively communicate with children, families and colleagues.
• Be passionate about play-based education practice.
• Experience working with children with high support learning needs in an early childhood setting.
• Have a sound understanding of inclusive practice.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community.
• The ability to effectively collaborate with other professionals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• An understanding of early child development and evidence-based practice in early childhood education and care.
Qualifications & Certifications
• Working with Children Check
• National Police Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• 2 x Covid-19 vaccination or have an approved medical contraindication certificate
• First Aid Certificate (including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis).
