Early childhood Educators: North Melbourne

BE PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL at our newly developed state-of-the-art Molesworth Street Kindergarten located at North Melbourne Primary School.  We are seeking to employ enthusiastic Early Childhood Educators to support the delivery of our new 3 and 4-year-old sessional kindergarten programs.

About Northern Schools Early Years Cluster 

The Northern Schools Early Years Cluster (NSEYC) is an Early Years Management group that supports 18 Early Childhood services, 16 of which are co-located on school sites. We are proud to have been awarded in two categories in the 2023 Department of Education’s Victorian Early Years Awards. The Ministers award for our Continuity of Early Learning recognised the NSEYC Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) model that supports collaboration between early childhood services and primary schools at every level and provides continuity of learning for children and families as they transition from kindergarten to school. The second award, Improving Access and Participation in Early Learning.  We provide 15 hours of funded kindergarten at all of our services for 3 and 4 years old's expanding to our Molesworth Street Kindergarten.  Our purpose is to “Love a Life of Learning and Living,” and we aim to set the highest standard of early years education in partnership with local schools and the community. We are committed to maximising outcomes for children in the early years, encouraging opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s early education and promoting professional career support, development and well-being for our educators.

We are seeking to employ experienced Early Childhood Educators to support the new sessions that have opened this year at this high-quality kindergarten  at Molesworth Street Kindergarten, located at  North Melbourne Primary School. The kindergarten is a modern, light-filled facility designed to inspire children's learning - complete with a large, beautiful rooftop outdoor learning space.  Located on the 5th floor, the kindergarten it is part of the brand new state-of-the-art North Melbourne Primary School's vertical campus.

This is an opportunity to be part of an amazing team working in partnership with North Melbourne Primary School and the local community as part of our integrated Kindergarten to Grade 6 model. We are seeking educators committed to supporting the best outcomes for the children and families. 

We have several part-time positions available for Educators from 17.5 to 35 hours spread over 3 to 5 days per week. 

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Knowledge of child development and supporting the planning, implementing and evaluating a quality early childhood education program.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and development.
• A commitment to inclusion and equity, and cultural competency
• A commitment to child-safe standards 
• A minimum Certificate III or Diploma of Children's Services
