About the role

Our client operates a unique early-year learning service catering to 130 children.

On-site, you will find various animals (cow, sheep, alpaca, pig, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys and a pony). The children can explore the open farm spaces by going on tractor/ trailer rides or walking through the property to engage with the animals and vegetation. There is a full-time gardener to engage with each week and a vegetable garden that needs careful watering and nurturing!

This purpose-built centre has abundant outdoor play areas with two separate age-appropriate natural play spaces. The outdoor environments promote children's exploration of their senses and encourage them to interact with the environment as a natural part of their education. An ECT leads each room, and the group sizes are kept to a maximum of 12-15 children. Each year, staff are offered a choice of age groups to work with!

About you

We require a person interested in a career in early childhood who wants to impact children's development positively. The person we seek must be passionate, hardworking and enthusiastic. In addition to this, we also require someone who has: 

• A recognised Early Childhood Degree level of qualification or higher in Early Childhood or similar as approved by the ACECQA

• NESA Registration

• Prior experience working with children in a similar setting

• Thorough understanding of current regulations, National Quality Framework, EYLF and contemporary pedagogical practices
