Education Officer
  • 12 month fixed term contract
  • Sydney CBD location (Wynyard) with flexible working
  • $80-85,000 + super
Position Summary
We are seeking an Education Officer to oversee and manage the operational and administrative aspect a particular programs, focusing on education, examination, and assessment. This role provides proactive management and guidance on operational issues and will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Education Manager, Registrar, Chair of the Board of Studies, and Assistant Registrar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular analysis and reporting on examination and assessment data, addressing any potential issues, report on progress of candidates ensuring compliance
  • Anaylse candidate assessment and follow up on correspondence, reports and proposals
  • Contribute to instructional design, including workshops, tutorials, study clubs and e-learning while identifying enhancements of course delivery
  • Actively engage with the Boards of Studies and Registrars, ensuring affective implementation of regulations, policies and processes
  • Stakeholder engagement internal and external, produce reports for both internal and external and other general correspondence
  • Manage the planning, coordination and execution of examination including applications, timetabling, travel, training and examination papers
  • Contribute to the development of new modules, examiner handbooks and assessment processes
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, Business, or a similar field (preferred)
  • Previous experience in an educational or training management role
  • Experience in a medical college or university environment is highly desirable
  • Experience in examinations highly desirable
  • Strong research, analysis, and report writing skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Proven ability to advise governance committees and manage delegated administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of the Australian Health System is an advantage
  • Ability to implement and explain complex regulations and requirements
