What you'll be doing
Providing educational leadership and guidance to the teaching team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, play-based educational programs
Mentoring and supporting educators in their professional development and the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework
Collaborating with the Centre Director to develop and review the centre's policies, procedures, and Quality Improvement Plan
Maintaining strong relationships with families and the local community to promote engagement and a sense of inclusion
Monitoring and documenting children's learning and development to inform curriculum planning and personalised learning experiences
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the early childhood education sector
What we're looking for
A Bachelor of Education/Teaching in Early Childhood or Diploma in Early Childhood
Extensive experience as an early childhood educator, with a demonstrated track record of educational leadership
Thorough understanding of the NQF and the EYLF.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and the wider community
Proven ability to mentor and support the professional growth of an educational team
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
About the Service
We are a 22-place specialised preschool located in Berowra Heights, catering to children aged 3 to 6 years. Our centre operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for 48 weeks of the year, closing for four weeks over the Christmas period. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our curriculum is driven by the interests and strengths of each child, promoting a love of learning and respect for the environment.
