We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in solar and battery storage systems to join our dynamic team. If you have hands-on experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of renewable energy projects, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Solar & BESS System Design: Develop electrical designs for commercial solar, battery storage, EV charging, and EPC projects.
- Software & Modelling: Utilise PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVcase, PowerCAD, PSSE, and PSCAD for system design, modelling, and optimisation.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 4777, AS/NZS 5033, AS 3000), industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Grid Connection & Protection: Design LV and HV AC electrical connections, including switchboards, isolation, protection, and cable sizing.
- Control & Metering Systems: Develop control systems and metering solutions for solar and battery storage applications.
- Project Development: Lead internal engineering teams and external consultants in conducting technical due diligence, feasibility studies, permitting design, and detailed design.
- Site Planning & Inspections: Prepare site set-out plans for ground-mount and solar carport systems and conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Technical Support: Provide engineering expertise to project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
About You:
✅ Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in large-scale solar PV system design and installation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVsyst, PVcase, PowerCAD, PSCAD, and PSSE.
- Strong understanding of electrical connection requirements for LV and HV systems.
- Experience with EPC project workflows and leading technical feasibility studies, permitting design, and detailed design phases.
- SAA Accreditation in Grid Connect Photovoltaic Systems (GCPV), Grid Connect Battery Storage (GCBS), and Stand-Alone Power Systems (SPS) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
