A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the NorthConnex Maintenance Team. In this role, you'll work in a state-of-the-art tunnel facility, ensuring the seamless operation of critical infrastructure. This is an exciting chance to contribute to the maintenance of essential systems while enjoying a work-life balance with a rotating shift schedule.

• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform mechanical maintenance and repair work on tunnel infrastructure and equipment, including pumps, hydraulics, sprinkler systems, and industrial fan systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with electricians and other trades to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Fault Finding: Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting to maintain operational excellence.
• Safety Focus: Actively support and participate in Downer's Zero Harm safety initiatives.
• Shift Roster: Adhere to a rotating 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, including both day and night shifts.

• Trade Qualifications: You are a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with relevant industry experience.
• Mechanical Expertise: Experience working with pumps, hydraulics, sprinkler systems, fan systems, and fault-finding is highly desirable.
• Industry Experience: Background in tunnel maintenance, water treatment plants, or fixed plant operations is an advantage.
• Team Player: You're comfortable working in a team environment and have a keen eye for safety and best practices.
• Shift Flexibility: You're able to work a 12-hour shift rotation and thrive in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.
