The Role
Due to continued growth, PMT Security is looking for an experienced Data Centre Electronic Security Technician. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, has a positive attitude, and a passion for the electronic security industry. You will be based at data centres in Western Sydney and the North Shore area.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Installation of high-spec intruder systems, access control, SCEC locking systems, IP CCTV, and intercom systems.
Deliver exceptional customer service and handle escalated resolutions.
Assist with stock ordering and troubleshooting inventory challenges.
Collaborate on special projects and process improvements.
Manage site works, documentation, and compliance.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to other security technicians and apprentices.
Maintain high standards of work and safety.
About You
Must be an Australian Citizen.
Willingness to undergo security clearances.
High standard of ethics and values.
Customer-focused with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Current NSW Security Licence, driver’s licence, and Construction White Card (or ability to obtain one).
First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
EWP Licence up to 11m.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Knowledge of a broad range of security platforms including Integriti, Tecom, Gallagher, Reliance, Bosch, MCM.
Knowledge of IP CCTV installation and networking, including Genetec, Milestone, Hanwha, Geutebruck, NX Witness, IDIS/Pacom, March Networks.
Demonstrated ability to install and fault-find across multiple security systems.
Experience working in data centres or commercial environments.
Ability to perform basic ICT networking.
Fault identification, isolation, repair, and reporting on security systems.
Effective report writing skills, both technical and non-technical.
Ability to perform cabling, fit-off (including panels), and commissioning of electronic security systems.
