The Role

Due to continued growth, PMT Security is looking for an experienced Data Centre Electronic Security Technician. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, has a positive attitude, and a passion for the electronic security industry. You will be based at data centres in Western Sydney and the North Shore area.

Key Responsibilities

• Service & Installation of high-spec intruder systems, access control, SCEC locking systems, IP CCTV, and intercom systems.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and handle escalated resolutions.

• Assist with stock ordering and troubleshooting inventory challenges.

• Collaborate on special projects and process improvements.

• Manage site works, documentation, and compliance.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to other security technicians and apprentices.

• Maintain high standards of work and safety.

About You

• Must be an Australian Citizen.

• Willingness to undergo security clearances.

• High standard of ethics and values.

• Customer-focused with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.

• Current NSW Security Licence, driver’s licence, and Construction White Card (or ability to obtain one).

• First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

• EWP Licence up to 11m.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of a broad range of security platforms including Integriti, Tecom, Gallagher, Reliance, Bosch, MCM.

• Knowledge of IP CCTV installation and networking, including Genetec, Milestone, Hanwha, Geutebruck, NX Witness, IDIS/Pacom, March Networks.

• Demonstrated ability to install and fault-find across multiple security systems.

• Experience working in data centres or commercial environments.

• Ability to perform basic ICT networking.

• Fault identification, isolation, repair, and reporting on security systems.

• Effective report writing skills, both technical and non-technical.

• Ability to perform cabling, fit-off (including panels), and commissioning of electronic security systems.
