About the role

Teacher Appointments is seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join a dynamic teaching team at a Secondary School in Logan, Queensland. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the education and development of secondary school students.

What you'll be doing

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students in years 7-10

• Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their academic growth

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's English curriculum

• Collaborate with other teachers and faculty members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience

• Maintain detailed records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians

What we're looking for

• Relevant teaching qualifications and registration to teach in Queensland

• Minimum 2 years' experience teaching English at the secondary school level

• Psychology as an additional area would be advantageous, but not necessary

• Thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and assessment frameworks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues

• Ability to create and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for student-centred learning
