• Salary Range Band 6 $95,799 to $104,420 plus 11.5% Super 
• Full time, temporary 24-month position through 30 June 2027. Backfill due to secondment
• Located at St Kilda Town Hall with flexible working arrangements possible.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced event professional to join our team!

This role is responsible for facilitating the permitting of externally produced events on Council managed land.  You will provide assessment, advice and approval for external event applications and some internal events.  The role will focus on a cross section of outdoor events, trader activations, community events, markets and promotions.

• Provide advice, approval and compliance for permitted events.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Who we are looking for 

• The ability to self-manage workloads, communicate clearly and work effectively in a dynamic team environment. 
• Demonstrated understanding and experience in providing advice on the delivery and permitting of outdoor events. 
• Experience in assessing the risks and impacts of outdoor events
• Local government experience essential, minimum of 3 years preferred
• The role includes weekend work and flexibility around hours.
