As leader of our Kitchen team, you’ll deliver this from the outset, delivering an exceptional dining experience that makes our guests and visitors alike, want to return time and again. Reporting to the General Manager, you are responsible for the delivery of the culinary divisions objectives by providing operational direction, support and guidance to a team of talented Chefs, catering to all of our outlets including All Day Dining Restaurant, Lobby Lounge, Club InterContinental, Event Operations and In-Room Dining. A little taste of your day-to-day Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: Responsible for maintaining and delivering world class food quality standards Oversee department planning and rostering to ensure budgeted productivity and financial targets are achievedCoordinate culinary team resources, materials and equipment to ensure efficient execution of the culinary program across the hotelDriving continuous efficiency and productivity improvementInspire, motivate, mentor and develop the culinary teamAdhere to HACCP, Food Safety and WHS policiesWaste management and minimizing cost controlCollaborate closely with hotel teams across all dining venues and events to deliver a world class culinary experience What We Need From You Trade qualified with experience working within a Hotel restaurant as either an Executive Chef or a Head Chef (preferably for a minimum of 1-2 years)Must have previous experience in a premium venue, luxury hotel or similar high-end environmentExperience in a professional commercial kitchen with a passion for culinary artsStrong understanding of HACCP / Food Safety / WHS and QAYou will have proven experience working with and achieving brand standards at luxury or similar levelStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time and interpersonal management skillsExperience in manage a large cross functional team and developing an inspired, engaged culinary teamFull working rights in Australia without restrictions.Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene.
