We are excited to invite applications for the role of External Sales Representative at our Darwin Branch. This is a key position responsible for driving Xylem’s sales objectives within a defined territory. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting our comprehensive portfolio of products, with a strong focus on serving the mining and broader industrial sectors.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan in collaboration with the Sales Manager to achieve sales, profit, and growth targets.

  • Conduct regular sales visits as outlined in the sales plan, offering expert product advice and engineering solutions to customers.

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by leveraging market intelligence, tender information, and future construction project leads.

  • Prepare reports, and other necessary documentation in accordance with branch and customer requirements.

  • Contribute to the sales team by attending meetings and providing updates on sales progress and CRM system usage to the Sales Manager.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, addressing technical or service-related inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving repeat business.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A Technical qualification in either Engineering or Mechanical/ Electrical Trade is required.

  • Proven experience in sales, with a strong track record of lead generation and deal closure in customer-facing roles.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office applications, and other sales management systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with customers.

  • A customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions.
