An exciting fabrication leadership position with our client located in Acacia Ridge, offering an opportunity to build and develop a strong team. Our client is a leading provider of quality products used in the aerospace and defence industry.
 
What you'll be doing

• Leading a team of 10 comprised of tradesman, apprentices and general labourers in the light fabrication department
• Coordinating the teams workflow to ensure optimal productivity
• Verifying welding quality
• Safely operate and maintain welding equipment
• Identifying and resolving any issues or defects in the welded components
• Identify and rectify any issues or defects in welded components
• Preparing and assembling metal components for welding

What we're looking for

• Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Sheet Metal Worker, Boilermaker, Coach Body Builder)
• Experienced in staff supervision
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• High regard for health and safety practices
• Prior experience in a similar role
