About the role

A new position has been created for a Finance Assistant to support the team with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger duties.

This role is two days per week, alongside your university studies, and can be worked as full or half days depending on schedule and availability.

The work location will be at our brand new office in Gipps Street, Collingwood.

Relevant working rights will be required for this role.

Required skill set and experience:

• Working towards a Bachelors degree in Business or Commerce, majoring in Accounting, ideally in second-last or final year

• No previous accounting work experience necessary

• High level of attention to detail

• Intermediate skills with MS Excel

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Good time management skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines

Duties:

• Managing bank reconciliations

• Accounts Payable - entering supplier invoices into the accounting system and assisting with preparation of payment runs

• Accounts Receivable - including receipting and reconciliation of payments and follow up of debtors

• Other ad-hoc duties
