Mable is seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone making their first move out of professional practice, or for an existing Financial Accountant who is looking for a broad role in a fast growing organisation. The position sits in the Corporate Finance team among another Financial Accountant, Junior Accountant and Payroll Officer. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly balance sheet and income statement including month end journals and reporting pack commentary for actuals vs budgetReview of payroll reporting (working closely with payroll officer) Cashflow forecasting and analysisTax reporting (BAS, FBT, Payroll tax and PAYG)Review of junior accountants work with particular focus on accounts payable, accruals and bank reconciliationsOwnership of provision for doubtful debt modelling and journalsAssist with preparation of statutory accounts and annual external audit Contribute to future accounting system implementation and transition from legacy systemsInvolvement in continuous improvement and represent Financial Control team on various Mable projectsBe a subject matter expert on relevant accounting standards both current and upcoming and be able to communicate their impact to appropriate partiesAssist with other tasks as required Skills, Knowledge, And Experience An analytical mindNegotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationshipsCommercial and business awarenessAbility to work independently through month end procedures identifying and resolving issuesCritical thinkingStrong communication skills – both written and verbalA keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into dataDeadline-orientated CA or CPA qualified Experience using Xero, SAP, Salesforce, Databricks and Tableau are beneficial Our Values We’re Switched On 💡 We know our customers because we listen and want to learn.
