We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Duty Manager to oversee operations of multiple outlets, including Breakfast, Gather & Trade Cafe, and Conference & Events. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, a keen eye for detail, and strong leadership skills.

Breakfast:

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the breakfast service ensuring high-quality food and beverage offerings, adhering to Novotel's standards.

  • Monitor and maintain breakfast service efficiency, addressing any issues promptly.

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update breakfast menus.

Gather & Trade: Visit us on insta @gathertrade

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our café, Gather & Trade.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the cafe's profitability and guest satisfaction.

  • Ensure a welcoming and customer-friendly environment.

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.

Conference & Events:

  • Manage the operational planning and execution of conferences, meetings, and events.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and expectations.

  • Ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen, service staff, and event organizers.

  • Uphold high standards of service during events, exceeding guest expectations.

You will also be responsible for: 

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills.

  • Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.

  • Implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.

  • Monitor sales and financial performance regularly, taking corrective actions as needed.

  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through consistent service excellence.

  • Handle guest feedback and implement improvements as necessary.

  • Foster a culture of guest-centric service among the team.

You will need:

  • Full Australian Working Rights (this is a permanent full-time position).

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry trends and a passion for food and hospitality.

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and other relevant technologies.
