Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort is calling for a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our award-winning team.Located at the southern tip of the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef, Lady Elliot Island is a highly protected ‘Green Zone’ sanctuary known for its incredible marine life, including manta rays, turtles, and vibrant coral reefs. Our eco-resort offers guests a unique, immersive experience in one of Australia’s most breathtaking natural environments — and we’re looking for someone equally exceptional to help deliver it.
About the role:As the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you’ll be a hands-on leader who sets the tone for exceptional guest service. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, support and guide front-of-house staff, and ensure every guest enjoys a memorable experience. Your role will involve everything from beverage preparation and bar service to staff recruitment, training, and maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:Lead, supervise and support the F&B team to maintain consistently high service standardsTake initiative in designing and promoting specials and enhancing the guest experienceManage staff inductions, and HR matters in collaboration with your managerCreate and manage rosters to ensure effective staffing across service periodsHandle stock control, ordering, rostering and other admin tasksOversee beverage preparation from coffee service in the morning to cocktails in the afternoonMaintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with Workplace Health & Safety protocolsAssist guests with information and ensure smooth, friendly front-of-house serviceContribute to the development and implementation of front of house policies and operational proceduresHelp foster a professional, positive, and team-oriented workplaceWorking alongside the sales and marketing team to coordinate special event packages and promotions.
About you:To thrive in this unique, remote-location role, you’ll need to be a strong, service-driven leader with an eye for detail and a proactive mindset.You’ll bring:Minimum 2 years' experience in a food & beverage supervisory role, ideally in a resort or remote locationProven leadership skills and the ability to lead by exampleHigh attention to detail and a flair for creating and promoting food & drink specialsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a strong customer service ethicHands-on experience with cocktails, wine and coffee knowledgeStrong organisational skills and the ability to stay composed under pressureA collaborative, can-do attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamValid RSA and Basic Food Safety CertificateAbility to work unrestricted in Australia
