At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Food Service Assistant, you'll help create cherished moments and better health outcomes for residents each day. Assist in the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals according to the dietary requirements and preferences of elderly residents. Ensure food is presented attractively and served in a timely manner to meet health and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and storage spaces, adhering to food safety regulations. Monitor food stock levels, assist with inventory management, and report any shortages or expired items to senior staff. Provide support to residents during meal times, including assistance with feeding or special dietary needs, and ensure a positive dining experience.
